Our goal with the new site, besides making it more functional, is to provide you with information related to cultural aspects of our city, our country, and our world. Currently, content on the site is sparse. We will be continuously adding commentary, pictures, video and various forms of media that speak to current issues in our culture. Look for this content to come online in the near future and continue to change with the times. For now, please click on the "Events" tab to keep up with what we are doing around the city.

What is Midrash?
Midrash is a Hebrew word that roughly means "commentary". The goal of Midrash, the organization, is “commentary on culture.” We engage various aspects of our culture - music, theatre, arts, film, etc. – and seek to give and receive commentary on the subjects and issues that matter to people in our city, and that form and shape our views and lives. We also acknowledge that we live in a world drenched in God, so pointing out how and where he is already at work, or revealing himself to those around us is very natural. We engage various aspects of popular culture: music, theatre, arts, and politics; seeking to have relevant dialogue with people of all backgrounds and beliefs. All events are free and open to the public, different perspectives and opinions are always welcome as we consider many aspects of a given topic or film.
