Midrash is a Hebrew word that roughly means "commentary". The goal of Midrash, the organization, is “commentary on culture.” We engage various aspects of our culture - music, theatre, arts, film, etc. – and seek to give andreceive commentary on the subjects and issues that matter to people in our city, and that form and shape our views and lives.

DISCUSSION GROUP - Tuesday, May 13th, 2008
The topic for this week is "In the News", which means that the moderator will choose a topic of interest that is getting a good deal of recent media coverage. Discussion will take place at Starbucks in the Galleria.

"The War in Iraq: Won, Lost or Drawn?” Is the war a success for democracy or a failure in foreign policy? What were US goals and have they been met? What lessons can be learned? Join us from 7-9pm at Schlafly Bottleworks.
